Not everyone has a full week to spare. Some of the best experiences on the Adriatic fit into three days.
Ambassador Travel runs seven mini cruise departures in May and June 2026 — short, focused routes on small ships that reach Hvar, Korčula, Vis, the Blue Cave and Mljet National Park. Prices start at €499 per person. Departure points cover Dubrovnik, Split and Trogir, so you can build the mini cruise into a longer Croatia trip or treat it as a standalone short break.
Here is everything you need to choose the right departure.
What Is a Mini Cruise in Croatia?
A mini cruise is a 3 to 5-day small ship voyage along the Dalmatian coast. You board in one port, sleep aboard the ship each night, and wake up in a different location every morning. No suitcase unpacking, no hotel transfers, no logistics. The ship handles the movement while you handle the swimming, sightseeing and eating.
Ambassador Travel’s mini cruises run on small vessels carrying fewer than 45 passengers. That size means access to bays and harbours that large cruise ships cannot reach — private anchorages off Vis, the channel approaching Korčula’s old town, the sheltered bay at Milna on Brač.
Every departure includes:
- Welcome dinner on the first evening
- Buffet breakfast daily
- Two or three three-course lunches depending on cruise length
- English-speaking cruise manager on board throughout
- Professional English-speaking local guide in Hvar and/or Korčula
- Rooftop Jacuzzi (Sun deck)
- Free unlimited Wi-Fi
- Beach towel and daily cabin cleaning
- All-Croatian crew of 7
Port and tourist taxes of €30 per person are paid on board in cash and are not included in the price.
All 7 Mini Cruise Departures — May and June 2026
1. Dubrovnik to Trogir — M/S Summer, 9–13 May 2026 (4 nights / 5 days)
Route: Dubrovnik — Šipan Island — National Park Mljet — Korčula — Hvar — Bol — Milna — Trogir
This is the flagship mini cruise route. Five days cover the full stretch of the southern Dalmatian coast from Dubrovnik north to Trogir, with stops at two of Croatia’s most photographed islands and one of its national parks.
Day one begins at Dubrovnik’s Gruž harbour with embarkation at 13:00. The ship sails to Šipan — the largest of the Elaphiti Islands and one of the least-visited. Šipanska Luka holds stone mansions from old Ragusan nobility, a 15th-century church, and a park of lemon and palm trees. Welcome dinner is served on board.
Day two crosses to Mljet National Park, where the twin saltwater lakes — Great Lake and Small Lake — sit in a forest that drops straight to the water. A 12th-century Benedictine monastery occupies a small island in the middle of the Great Lake. The afternoon brings Korčula, birthplace of Marco Polo. A local guide walks the town’s medieval grid of streets and explains the history.
Day three reaches Hvar, the sunniest island in Croatia. Another local guide covers the old town — the main square, the Venetian loggia, the fortress above the harbour.
Day four stops at Zlatni Rat in Bol on the island of Brač, one of the most photographed beaches in the Mediterranean, then continues to Milna, a quiet harbour village on Brač’s western side.
Day five: morning breakfast, arrival in Trogir, disembarkation by 09:00.
Prices — M/S Summer:
| Cabin type | Per person (double/twin) | Solo cabin |
|---|---|---|
| Standard cabin | €499 | €748 |
| Main deck cabin | €699 | €1,048 |
| 3rd adult sharing | -30% | |
| Child 3–11 with 1 adult | -30% | |
| Child 3–11 with 2 adults | -50% |
2. Trogir Loop — M/S Summer, 13–16 May 2026 (3 nights / 4 days)
Route: Trogir — Hvar — Vis — Biševo Blue Cave — Milna — Trogir
Three nights, one round trip, one of Croatia’s most requested stops: the Blue Cave on the island of Biševo.
The ship boards in Trogir at 13:00 and sails to Hvar for a welcome dinner and an evening walking tour of the old town. Day two crosses to Vis — Croatia’s most remote inhabited island, which was closed to foreign visitors until 1989 due to its role as a Yugoslav military base. That isolation preserved what tourism development removed elsewhere: intact stone villages, untouched beaches, and an agricultural tradition that feeds some of the best restaurants in Dalmatia.
Day three is the Blue Cave morning. The cave on Biševo works through a submerged entrance: light enters below the waterline, bounces off the white limestone bottom, and turns the interior a deep electric blue. Entry is weather-dependent — high waves can close the cave — which is why entrance fees are paid on the day. If the cave is closed, the ship anchors nearby for an open-water swim. The afternoon continues to Milna on Brač.
Day four: breakfast, return to Trogir, disembarkation by 09:00.
Prices — M/S Summer: Same rate structure as above (€499 standard cabin, double/twin).
3. Dubrovnik to Split — M/S Elixir, 30 May–3 June 2026 (4 nights / 5 days)
Route: Dubrovnik — Šipan — National Park Mljet — Korčula — Hvar — Bol — Milna — Split
The same five-day southern route as cruise #1, ending in Split instead of Trogir. M/S Elixir was refitted in 2025 with 19 cabins and 39 berths.
Itinerary mirrors the Dubrovnik-Trogir route: Šipan first evening, Mljet and Korčula on day two, Hvar on day three, Zlatni Rat and Milna on day four, disembarkation in Split on day five.
This departure is well-timed for travellers who want to continue north from Split — ferry connections to Hvar, Brač, Vis and the islands run daily from Split’s ferry terminal.
Prices — M/S Elixir: €499 standard cabin per person (double/twin). Same full rate table as M/S Summer above.
4. Trogir Loop — M/S Invictus, 30 May–2 June 2026 (3 nights / 4 days)
Route: Trogir — Hvar — Vis — Biševo Blue Cave — Milna — Trogir
The same Blue Cave loop as cruise #2, running simultaneously on M/S Invictus. Good option if cruise #2 is full.
M/S Invictus was built in 2021 — one of the newer vessels in the fleet, 40 metres, 18 cabins.
Prices — M/S Invictus:
| Cabin type | Per person (double/twin) | Solo cabin |
|---|---|---|
| Standard cabin | €499 | €748 |
| Main deck cabin | €699 | €1,048 |
| Child 3–11 with 1 adult | -30% |
5. Trogir to Dubrovnik — M/S Invictus, 2–6 June 2026 (4 nights / 5 days)
Route: Trogir — Milna — Bol — Hvar — Korčula — National Park Mljet — Dubrovnik
The reverse of the southern route, running north to south. For travellers who fly into Split and out of Dubrovnik — or who want the route in this direction — this is the natural choice.
The ship boards in Trogir on Tuesday and makes for Milna that first afternoon. Day two brings Zlatni Rat in Bol followed by an afternoon in Hvar with a guided town walk. Day three crosses to Korčula, the walled town on the eastern tip of the island named after Marco Polo. Day four reaches Mljet National Park for the lakes and monastery, then continues south to Dubrovnik, arriving late afternoon. Guests have the evening in Dubrovnik before disembarkation on day five after breakfast.
Prices — M/S Invictus: €499 standard cabin per person (double/twin).
6. Split Loop — M/S Elixir, 3–6 June 2026 (3 nights / 4 days)
Route: Split — Hvar — Vis — Biševo Blue Cave — Milna — Split
The Blue Cave route departing from Split. Three nights, returns to Split. Ideal if Split is your base and you want a short cruise without flying into a different port.
Day one boards in Split and sails to Hvar for welcome dinner and guided evening walk. Day two reaches Vis. Day three runs the Blue Cave visit on Biševo in the morning, followed by Milna in the afternoon. Day four: breakfast, back to Split by 09:00.
Prices — M/S Elixir: €499 standard cabin per person (double/twin).
7. Dubrovnik Loop — M/S Splendid, 13–17 June 2026 (4 nights / 5 days)
Route: Dubrovnik — Šipan — National Park Mljet — Korčula — Dubrovnik
The only route that starts and ends in Dubrovnik. Five days, four islands, one national park, no one-way logistics to manage.
Day one from Dubrovnik’s Gruž harbour to Šipan, welcome dinner on board. Day two to Mljet National Park — a full afternoon at the lakes, the monastery island, and a swim. Evening free. Day three to Korčula, guided walking tour of the medieval old town. Day four back along the coast to Dubrovnik, with a lunch and swim stop. Evening free in Dubrovnik. Day five: breakfast, farewell.
M/S Splendid has three cabin categories including an upper deck option.
Prices — M/S Splendid:
| Cabin type | Per person (double/twin) | Solo cabin |
|---|---|---|
| Standard cabin | €499 | €748 |
| Main deck cabin | €599 | €898 |
| Upper deck cabin | €699 | €1,048 |
| Child 3–11 with 1 adult | -30% |

Why May and June for a Croatia Cruise
May and June are the two best months to cruise the Dalmatian coast. The water temperature sits between 18°C and 22°C — cold enough to be refreshing, warm enough to swim without hesitation. Crowds in Hvar, Dubrovnik and Korčula are a fraction of what they become in July and August. Restaurant tables are available. The islands are green. Sunsets run past 20:30.
July and August fill the same routes at higher prices with more competition for anchorage spots and port berths. May and June offer the same route, the same crew, the same islands — at the season’s lowest prices.
Booking Conditions
A deposit of 50% per person is required to confirm a reservation. The deposit is non-refundable.
